Myths, Secrets, Lies, and Truths: Photography from the Doug McCraw Collection This exhibition explores the complexities of human existence through the interplay of myths, secrets, lies, and truths through the lens of five brilliant artists from the collection of Doug McCraw. Hank Willis Thomas, Spider Martin, Sheila Pree Bright, Liesa Cole, and Karen Graffeo capture moments that transcend the ordinary, reveal truths, and explore how myths shape our perceptions, secrets veil the truth, and lies distort our beliefs. Julie Evans: Eating Sunshine Julie Evans, born 1959 in New York City lives and works in Hudson, New York. She is well known for her paintings, watercolor, and collages that have been exhibited widely. In 2019 her work took a new direction when she began to produce ceramic sculptures. These works, like her two-dimensional art, reveal her interest in organic forms and saturated color. This exhibition will feature her ceramics alongside her works on paper for the first time.
